Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of DriveSentinel, a Google Workspace add-on operated by an individual developer (“we,” “us,” “Operator”), contact: gpswaraich@gmail.com.
By installing or using DriveSentinel (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Service.
1. What the Service does
DriveSentinel is a sidebar add-on inside Google Drive that lets you:
- Revoke specific people's access to your Google Drive files, immediately or on a future scheduled date.
- Copy files that have been shared with you into your own Google Drive.
- Audit who currently has access to the files you own.
- Send optional warning notification emails to recipients you specify ahead of scheduled revocations.
All actions are performed inside Google's Apps Script runtime under the authorization of your own Google account.
2. Your responsibilities
You agree that:
- You are responsible for the actions you take through the Service. The Service performs irreversible operations (in particular, instant revocation removes access immediately; recipients lose access).
- You will only use the Service on Google accounts and files you control or are authorized to manage.
- You will not use the Service in violation of any law or any third party's rights, including privacy and employment laws governing the access you manage.
- You will not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract credentials from the Service.
3. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to:
- Send unsolicited bulk email through the notification feature.
- Harass, defraud, or impersonate any person.
- Interfere with Google's API quotas or terms.
- Build a competing product by copying the Service's source code published in the Marketplace.
The Operator reserves the right to refuse service or revoke add-on installation to any user violating these Terms.
4. Pricing and lifetime licenses
The Service may be offered free of charge, on a paid lifetime license, or on a subscription, as indicated on the listing through which you obtain the Service. A “lifetime” license means a one-time payment that entitles you to use the Service for as long as it is offered and operational, subject to these Terms. It does not obligate the Operator to maintain or continue operating the Service indefinitely.
If the Operator discontinues the Service, all licensees will be given at least 30 days' notice. Refunds for discontinuation will be considered on a case-by-case basis for purchases made within the prior 12 months.
5. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
The Operator does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error free, free of harmful components, or that any specific file's access change will be successfully propagated by Google's systems. The Service depends on Google APIs and quotas that the Operator does not control.
You acknowledge that revoking access is an irreversible operation and that the Operator is not liable for revocations performed at your direction.
6. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATOR'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY AND ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $50. THE OPERATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold the Operator harmless from any claim arising out of (a) your use of the Service, (b) any actions taken through the Service on your behalf, including but not limited to revocations, backups, and notification emails, and (c) your violation of these Terms or any law or third-party right.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling it from your Google account. The Operator may suspend or terminate access to the Service in case of misuse, non-payment (where applicable), or in order to comply with applicable law. Sections 5 (Disclaimers), 6 (Limitation of liability), 7 (Indemnification), and 10 (Governing law) survive termination.
9. Privacy
The handling of your data is governed by the DriveSentinel Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi, India.
11. Changes
The Operator may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified at least 30 days in advance via the Service homepage or via the email associated with your Google account. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.
